  • The Coalition of International NGOs Against Torture - CINAT a forum for joint action which builds on the diversity of members' approaches to combating torture.
  • The Center for Justice and Accountability - CJA an international human rights legal services organisation which aims to close off the United States as a safe haven for torturers and other violators of human rights by filing civil lawsuits against violators who reside, visit or keep assets in the United States.
  • World Organisation Against Torture - OMCT/SOS Torture a good organisation representing a large network of NGOs, specialising in urgent actions/children/human rights defenders
  • International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims - IRCT - a Danish umbrella organization which promotes and supports torture treatment centres throughout the world through a network and develops programmes involved in creating awareness about torture, its causes and effects, and its prevention and eradication.
  • Association for the Prevention of Torture - APT - an international non-governmental organization whose mandate is to prevent torture and treatment contrary to human dignity. To this end, it seeks to ensure the implementation of international laws and principles forbidding torture and to reinforce mechanisms - such as visits to places of detention - for the prevention of ill-treatment.
  • International Federation of Action by Christians for the Abolition of Torture - FI.ACAT brings together Action by Christians for the Abolition of Torture (ACATs) national associations from four continents, since 1987. FI.ACAT represents ACATs in international and regional bodies (United Nations, Council of Europe, African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights) where it has a consultative status.
  • The Torture Abolition and Survivors Support Coalition - TASSC TASSC is made up of women, men, and children who have survived torture. TASSC commemorates the United Nations International Day in Support of Torture Victims and Survivors and is guided by two principles: (1) torture is recognized as an international phenomenon and (2) survivors must have the right to speak for themselves about this crime against humanity. TASSC is dedicated to the eradication of torture in the world and seeks to raise awareness about torture through legislation and other forms of non-violent social action.
